On our most recent brewing adventure, we stopped by Valley Malt, one of the nation’s only micro-malteries, to visit with owner and maltstress Andrea Stanley and to pick up some of her organic Danko rye for our rye abbey ale.andrea_

Grown in Upstate, NY, this rye is a Polish variety chosen for its flavor complexity. Andrea malts it in small batches just 15 miles away from our host brewery in Massachusetts.
