Brillig

Brillig is a delectable red-brown sour ale that carries some of the last flavors of summertime into the winter. We racked a blend of two-year-old dark spontaneous ale and dark sour ale onto the spent blackberries and blueberries previously used for Gathering Blackberries and Blueberries. We added vanilla as well as some additional toasted oak, then aged it in the bottle for an additional two months. Incredibly rich and layered fruit- and fermentation-derived acids are balanced deftly by the sweeter undertones of oak and vanilla.
