FAQs
Welcome! We have both indoor and outdoor seating available, 7 days a week. There are different hours for each; please look at the hours section on our home page. We do not take reservations at this time.
On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, we host rotating food pop-ups. Details are announced on our Instagram page every week. You are always welcome to bring your own food or order delivery to our taproom, but please provide your own utensils, plates, and napkins!
When our rooftop bar and pizzeria is complete in late 2022, we will offer our own menu of (you guessed it) pizza and other treats.
At this time we do not accept reservations or buy-outs, but we are VERY close to completing our second-story bar, pizzeria, and roof deck at our Brooklyn taproom! Once the construction is complete, we’ll be rolling out a reservation and private events program and will make announcements through our social media channels and newsletter. Stay tuned for details!
If you are in or near New York City, our Brooklyn taproom is the go-to for the freshest Grimm draft, cans, and bottles! We are open seven days a week. Hours are listed on the main page of our website.

We do not have a parking lot. There is minimal street parking around our brewery on Catherine St, Morgan Ave, and Metropolitan Ave. Please keep in mind that the area directly in front of the brewery is a loading zone (7am-7pm). Tickets and towing are enforced.
Yes, we fill growlers! We have Grimm-branded growlers available for purchase on-site.
You may bring your own growler, but it must be CLEAN and made of dark glass (no clear or green glass!). If you are bringing a screw-top growler, please bring your own cap.
As for shelf life, each beer style varies, but we recommend that unopened and refrigerated, you drink it within a week or two. Once opened, the beer will last about 2 to 3 days at most. We prime all of our growlers with CO2 to purge them of oxygen. When a growler is opened and beer is poured, air replaces the beer inside the growler and the remaining beer in the growler oxidizes quickly. Our draft beers are best served fresh, so enjoying them as soon as possible is always your best bet!
Your growler should always be kept cold to ensure highest quality, and if you are traveling, bring a cooler and some ice for best results.
We accept all major credit cards.
If our beer includes ingredients that aren’t considered to be vegan, you will see the ingredients listed on the can or bottle. Non-vegan ingredients include: honey, milk sugar.
Beer is considered “kosher by default” unless there are unusual flavorings added. Any unusual flavorings in our beer will always be clearly labeled, so if there is something that is a cause for concern, you’ll know.
Grimm is our last name! Joe and Lauren Grimm founded Grimm Artisanal Ales in 2013. Simply put, Grimm is a rad name. That being said, we think that by making our last name into our brewery name, we have to stand behind everything that we put into the world. All of our beers must be up to our standards of quality.
If you are a retailer (bar/restaurant/bottle shop), please contact your your distributor!
If you are a consumer (looking for a tap handle for your kegerator/home bar?), email [email protected]. We do not always have tap handles available for purchase, but if we do we are more than happy to sell you one!
Unfortunately we don’t have the bandwidth to fulfill these requests at this time.
