Palaz of Hoon
IPA brewed with strata and simcoe then blended with barrel-aged golden sour
Palaz of Hoon is made with no fruit, but this is an absolute pineapple bomb. We made this beer by blending a Strata/Simcoe IPA with barrel aged golden sour to produce a fruity, hoppy ale of medium tartness. We let this can condition for one year, and during this time the brettanomyces worked its magic while the acidity from the sour ale kept the hops fresh. When we tasted the results, we were surprised and delighted by the graceful and punchy results and we have been impatiently reserving this special batch for the anniversary.
