This is How We Do It

We’ve been very impressed with the work of Wayward Lane. We started talking about doing this collab together last year when we tied on points in the New York State Craft Beer Competition to share Brewery Of The Year honors.  We decided to put the braintrust together and try to make the best WC double we could imagine.  This beer incorporates elements from each brewery’s unique approach to IPA brewing; Adam pushed us to do a much more layered hot side hopping schedule than we are accustomed to, with five discrete timed hop additions.  Just about every esoteric hop format made it into this beer somewhere, as we focused on hop varietals both fruity and dank: Mosaic, Krush, Superdelic, and Columbus.  The result is a bitter, svelte, and elegant beer with truly outstanding richness of hop character, leaning dank in aroma and tropical on the palate, with an evolving clean finish.
