Featuring wild staghorn sumac foraged in the Hudson Valley by @nobeersnoparents, Trellis 2024 is a truly special mixed fermentation farmhouse ale! This refined wild ale is composed from a blend of different barrel-aged saisons, racked onto second-use carbonically macerated redcurrants and peaches, and finally conditioned on the velvety, red branches of Aiyana’s hand-harvested sumac. Known as the “lemonade tree,” staghorn sumac grows on the periphery of forests in New York state, and in a saison it packs a tart yet earthy and complex punch.
