GRIMM TAVERN SERVER/BARTENDER
The Server at Grimm Tavern is responsible for executing a high-standard dining and beverage experience. This role requires a technical focus on high-volume table management and a deep, functional understanding of our kitchen and brewery production. You are expected to move with speed, maintain a “full hands” efficiency, and serve as the primary expert on our rotating food and beverage menus.
Reports To: General Manager / Bar Lead
Overall duties include (but are not limited to):
- Mastery of table service with an anticipatory service mindset.
- Works with a full hands approach.
- Assisting with food running.
- Demonstrate an understanding of craft beer and Grimm portfolio
- Confidently guide guests through menu, including detailed knowledge of ingredients, allergens, and pairings
- Capable of solving floor issues independently
- Bridge the gap between the bar, kitchen, and guests with clear, effective messaging.
- Actively promote a culture of respect, inclusiveness, and a positive employee experience.
- Capable of clearly communicating needs to the bar, kitchen from guests.
- Constantly look for ways to improve steps of service and inventory management.
- Execute orders with speed on our POS system.
- Ability to stand and walk for long shifts, navigate stairs while carrying heavy trays, and work in a variable-temperature brewery environment.compromise.

Requirements:
- 2+ years of high-volume server experience in a full-service restaurant or craft-focused tavern.
- Proficiency in tray service, multi-course pacing, and seat-number ordering.
- Must be able to continuously stand, walk, and carry large food trays or heavy bus tubs.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and committed to an anticipatory work ethic.
- Strong knowledge of craft beer, and wine
- Experience with crafting new cocktails preferred but not required
- Experience with Toast required
- Ability to continuously stand, walk up and down stairs, frequently bend, reach, and push; and work in confined spaces and close quarters with others
- Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, variable temperature environment and to work within our 38ºF cold box.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Flexibility and ability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays
