On Saturday, February 23rd, we’re releasing a new batch of Splish Double IPA and our collaboration with Haandbryggeriet!

Splish:
Load of Galaxy, Motueka, and Falconer’s Flight, a bit of oats in the grist… Big lime pith, kefir lime leaves, and mango with a creamy body and balanced lingering bitterness. 8% abv and exploding with hop aromatics.

Trylletein:
Our Nordic Double IPA (8% abv) and collaboration with our friends Haandbryggeriat Brewery in Norway. Weaving together flavors charateristic of New England IPA with those of traditional Norewegian farmhouse ales, Trylletein is overflowing with aromatics of fuzzy apricot, spruce, wintergreen, orange zest, and spice. Steeped with spruce tips, double dry-hopped with Amarillo lupulin powder, Citra and Columbus hops, and fermented with Norwegian Kveik yeast, this Double IPA is a true collaboration of flavors resulting from independent brewing traditions.

Kveik yeast is the magical ingredient behind the flavor profile of this beer. Until recently, Kveik was only available to Norwegian families who handed it down generation to generation. The unique 95 degree fermentation temperature drives Trylletein’s orangey yuzu-like esters and black pepper spice character, the perfect backdrop for the smooth bitterness and tropical aromas imparted by Amarillo and Citra hops.
