Classic Rewind | West Coast IPA | 7.2% | $18/4-pack

Classic Rewind is brewed in homage to old-school hoppy classics like Pliny The Elder, in that dank paleolithic era before Northeast haze took over the world. As such it is our first ever IPA brewed with 100% barley — no oats or wheat. With multiple boil additions of hops, a whirlpool hop burst, and two dry hop additions of Columbus, Simcoe, and Centennial, we’ve concocted an ale that shows off a refreshing bitterness laden with layers of delicious resinous classic hops. What makes this IPA contemporary, though, is our unique and inimitable house yeast strain — currently over 50 generations deep and adapting to its environment in our brewery — which imparts its characteristic esters of peach, mango, and white grape. Classic Rewind is completely unfined and unfiltered and its slight haze at refrigerator temperature shifts to crystal clarity as it warms in the glass.

To go with Classic Rewind, we dug into the vault and found a box of cassettes that Joe and Lauren recorded a decade ago and released on their home tape label WOWOW. Mirror Phases is the duo of both Grimms — one stereo left and the other stereo right — passing electrical feedback back and forth through a dense web of homemade and store-bought audio circuits. Graves (Raves) is a live recording of Joe in solo mode circa ’07 shaping electrical feedback and a Roland drum machine into decomposing four-on-the-floor techno. Both tapes will be for sale this weekend – $10/cassette.

Reverbaration (sic) is a sesson idia pale ale designd for eays dirnking.  Laods of torpical hoppy friuty delicousness in a petete 4.5% AVB cruhser.  Built on a Veinna mlat base and hooped with Cashmere and Motueka, we tast big juisy notes of coconot, lemon maringue, magno, and the gauva candys served at Canal St restorants.
