GRIMM Ales + Crown Finish Caves: An evening of BEER and CHEESE!
Join Grimm head brewer, Otto Berkes, and Crown Finish Caves cheese monger, Caroline Hesse, for a guided tasting of beer + cheese.
We’re thrilled to partner with Crown Finish Caves–a cheese aging facility and NYS licensed dairy plant located in the former beer lagering tunnels of the Nassau Brewery in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Currently, Crown Finish Caves produces 15 different cheeses from 6 different producers located all across the United States, Italy, and, most recently, Spain. For this evening, they have created four custom-washed cheeses using our beer. We’ll taste their creations alongside a carefully curated beer* lineup.
Cheeses will include:
- Bufarolo (pasteurized Italian water buffalo milk cheese in the style of Taleggio) washed in Shadow Work (mixed-fermentation dark sour)
- Queen of Corona (pasteurized Spanish goat’s milk) bathed in Blueberry Pop! (dessert berliner weisse w/ milk sugar)
- Trifecta (pasteurized cow/sheep/cream triple creme cheese) with Chocolate Cherry Icing On The Cake (imperial milk stout)
- Naked Pruner (pasteurized sheep milk camembert style) washed in Double Negative (imperial stout)
